Annexation of the Sumac Krai and Other News

Today, on September 1, 2025, the Occupied Territory of the Sumac Krai was officially annexed as a Province of the Great Lawl Reich. Furthermore, other pieces of legislation were passed.

The Sumac Krai was occupied by the Great Lawl Reich on September 2, 2025, and spent almost 3 years under occupation. The Tsar had plans of what to do with the territory, ultimately deciding to annex it as a province. The Sumac Krai was annexed on September 1, 2025, as the Sumac Province. Furthermore, Rhus City was established as the capital of the Sumac Province. The name Rhus is derived from the genus that the sumac plant belongs to.

In the Great Lawl Reich Southern Pacific Territory, the territory's position changed from 45°00'00.0"S 114°59'56.4"W to 45°00'00.0"S 115°00'00.0"W.

The Tsardom of Butugychag was renamed to the Imperial Far East.

In the Tsardom of Oblea, the title of Tsar of the Obleans was readopted as a alternate rendering of the title Tsar of Oblea.

Obleapheigh was reestablished as the capital of Oblea.

Both the Albatross and Butugychag Departments were abolished as there was not much of a purpose for the deparments existing at the present time.

Both the Great Lawl Reich Southern Pacific Territory and the Imperial Far East adopted a new Coat of Arms.

A second Imperial Edict was passed which made minor adjustments to the previous Imperial Edict, as well of adding new titles. With regard to the surname, Caesarina was changed to Caesarissa. The secondary title of Imperator (name) Caesar Augustus was adopted. For the heir apparent, the secondary title would be (name) Nobilissmus Caesar. The title of Prince/Princess of the Great Lawl Reich was adopted for the legitimate-born male-line descendants of legitimate great-grandchildren of the Monarch of the Great Lawl Reich in the male-line.

Eleventh Anniversary of the Great Lawl Reich

Today marks the eleventh anniversary of the independence of the Great Lawl Reich. Like the previous year, this year was not eventful. However, it does mark the tenth year anniversary of the use of Tsar as the title for the Monarch of the Great Lawl Reich.

Tenth Anniversary of the Great Lawl Reich

Today marks the tenth anniversary of the independence of the Great Lawl Reich. This is rather impressive considering that many micronations do not last this long. Like the previous year, 2023 was not an eventful year for the Great Lawl Reich. Activity remained low and is expected to remain as such.

Ninth Anniversary of the Great Lawl Reich

Today marks the ninth anniversary of the independence of the Great Lawl Reich. 2022 was an uneventful year for the Great Lawl Reich with the only event to occur was the occupation of the Sumac Krai. The annexation of the Sumac Krai is planned to happen some time soon. For this anniversary, here are some facts about the Great Lawl Reich that have not been published:

• The Tsar developed interest in micronationalism some time in 2012-2013 after watching a documentary series called How to Start Your Own Country by Danny Wallace.
• A early flag for the Tsar's proto-micronation was made but what it looked like has been lost. The design of the flag was consisted of with four different coloured rectangles in each quadrant with a white square tilted 45 degrees in the middle of the flag and with a blue star in the white square.
• The name of the Great Lawl Reich was first used when the Tsar wrote "Join the Lawl Reich" on the wall of a part of his school with snow on February 17, 2014.
  
• A classmate of the Tsar claimed to be the leader of the Great Lawl Reich. The date of when this happened is lost as it was never recorded. The dispute took place some time between March and April of 2014 and ended at the end of June.
  

Occupation of the former Sumac Krai Proclaimed

Today, on September 5, 2022, the Great Lawl Reich officially proclaims the Occupied Territory of the Sumac Krai following the informal proclamation on September 2, 2022 during the Sumac Expedition. The Occupied Territory is located in Ontario, Canada.

The Sumac Krai was formerly apart of the Slinky Empyre as the Sumac Department from July 17, 2010 to January 15, 2011. The Sumac Department, along with other Departments, seceded from the Empyre to form the Slinky Republyc on January 15, 2011. The Republyc lasted until February 26, 2011 where it dissolved. Following the dissolution of the Slinky Republyc, the Tsarist Empire of Gishabrun annexed the Sumac Department on March 8, 2011 and established the Sumac Krai. Gishabrun joined the Free State of Renasia on July 22, 2012 and left on May 5, 2015 when Renasia dissolved. Following the secession from Renasia, Gishabrun relinquished all of its territories and became a non-territorial cultural entity.

On September 2, 2022, Tsar Stefan I led the Sumac Expedition in order to occupy the former Sumac Krai and potentially establish territory in Canada. The expedition began on 10:10 AM (EST) when Tsar Stefan I left home. Before 12:00 PM, Tsar Stefan I successfully traveled to the former Sumac Krai. Tsar Stefan I informally proclaimed the occupation of the Sumac Krai. Tsar Stefan I soon left and returned home at 2:08 PM, thus ending the expedition.

On September 5, 2022, the Occupied Territory of the Sumac Krai was officially proclaimed as an Occupied Territory of the Great Lawl Reich. The Tsar appointed Himself to be the Imperial Governor of the Occupied Territory of the Sumac Krai. The languages used by the Occupied Territory of the Sumac Krai is English and Classical Slin-Engysh. The Occupied Territory of the Sumac Krai was not annexed immediately as Tsar Stefan I has not fully decided what to do with the Occupied Territory. The most likely plan is to establish a Sumac Crown Dependency from the occupation. Another plan is to reestablish the Kyngdom of New Slin. The Tsar thought of having the Occupied Territory of the Sumac Krai of joining the Second Empyre of Slin due to its history with the Slinky Empyre but deemed the plan to be the least likely of happening due to Slin being inactive. Time will tell what the fate of the former Sumac Krai will be.

Eighth Anniversary of the Great Lawl Reich

Today marks the eighth anniversary of the independence of the Great Lawl Reich. 2021 was somewhat of an eventful year for the Great Lawl Reich, but activity within the Great Lawl Reich have decreased due to the Tsar being busy, as well as losing interest. However, there are plans to increase activity somewhat by reorganizing the Reich.

End of the Greater Aleunnic War

Yesterday, on June 23, 2021, marked the end of the of the Greater Aleunnic War where the Rhode Island possessions of the Great Lawl Reich were seceded to the Reunited Ocean States and the Aleunnic Workers' Republic.

The Greater Aleunnic War began when the Reunited Ocean States declared war on the Great Lawl Reich in order to reclaim Yeno on January 31, 2021. On the same day, the Aleunnic Workers' Republic and Tueoedeth declared war on the Great Lawl Reich. On February 2, Faltree declared war on the Great Lawl Reich.

Military conflicts began on March 28, where the Reunited Ocean States invaded and occupied the Tzardom of Yeno under the name of Operation Slin. Ausveria would then declare war on the Great Lawl Reich on April 22. On May 1, the Aleunnic Workers' Republic launched the May Day Offensive where the Aleunnic Czardom and the Csardom of Aquariana were invaded and occupied.

Other nations were involved in the war, such as the Latalle Monarchy and the Federal States of Delphia. The 2nd Ocean States-Latalle War occurred from April 14 to April 24 where the Latalle Monarchy attempted to secede from the Reunited Ocean States but ultimately surrendered. The Reunited Ocean States declared war on Delphia on May 3 due to Delphia refusing to return Fort Inter, a territory given to Delphia by the United Ocean States, back to the Reunited Ocean States. The Reunited Ocean States invaded and occupied Fort Inter on May 10.

The war ended with the Reunited Ocean States on June 5 where the Great Lawl Reich and Delphia returned the territories that was gifted to them by the United Ocean States back to the Reunited Ocean States. Then on June 23, the Great Lawl Reich signed a peace treaty with Faltree, the Aleunnic Workers' Republic, Tueoedeth, and Ausveria where the Aleunnic Czardom and the Aleunnic-Aquarian Condominium were seceded to the Aleunnic Workers' Republic, thus marking the end to the Great Aleunnic War.
